Maintenance Manager - Food Facility Central Valley - CA

We are currently seeking a candidate for a MAINTENANCE MANAGER to join our team!

Under the direction of the Director of Operations, the Maintenance Manager will plan, coordinate and assist with supervising the work of the Maintenance staff. Ensures all machines/tools are maintained and running smoothly.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Manage the Maintenance staff including Supervisor and 60 Mechanics, manages the development of standards and guidelines for staff activities; and helps trains and develop staff;
  • Helps devise, implement and maintain plans to improve productivity;
  • Management of machinery/tool purchases, layout and installation;
  • Repairs machines and equipment for production and facility;
  • Ensures that all factory machinery is properly maintained and running at peak efficiency, diminishing downtime;
  • Provides training for production staff on all newly installed or modified machines;
  • Plans and maintains maintenance work schedule to include preventive maintenance;
  • Assists with managing contractor or outsourced company activities regarding machinery;
  • Assists with facilities maintenance, as needed;
  • Provides log documentation for all AFI HACCP and SQF programs;
  • Communicates and complies with HACCP and SQF auditors regarding maintenance activities and other requirements;
  • Creates SOP and SSOP for equipment, as needed;
  • Provides reports to manager regarding daily issues;

Qualifications : Must have 8-10 years of Mechanical/Electrical troubleshooting and repair experience

  • Ability to schedule/coordinate Preventive Maintenance
  • Knowledge of and ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and basic electrical systems
  • Ability to read and use system and hydraulic schematics, logic diagrams, and other related technical documentation to assist in diagnosis and repairs
  • Ability to read and understand machine manual and SOPs
  • Ability to generate SOPs and experience of providing operation training
  • Experience operating food related process machines
  • Must be able to push/pull, lift/carry, climb by ladder and/or move up to 50lbs.
  • Programmable Logic Controller, AC/DC motors and controls knowledge preferable
  • Demonstrated supervision, leadership, communication, training and people skills
  • USDA experience
  • HACCP and SQF knowledge preferable
  • Working knowledge of MS Office software application
