Quality Engineer

Required:
BS in Mechanical Engineering, Quality Engineering, or related Engineering discipline
2+ years of progressive quality engineering experience preferably in the automotive or heavy-duty truck industry
2+ years of experience in a manufacturing organization
Inherent drive and initiative, desire to take ownership of projects; outstanding communication skills
Familiarity with APQP, FMEA
The Quality Engineer is primarily responsible for identifying supplier, internal manufacturing / development problems and issues. Major focus will be working on the production line, and inspecting quality throughout, and at the end of, the line.
Monitor performance of quality control systems to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
Direct product testing activities throughout production cycles
Direct the tracking of defects, test results, or other regularly reported quality control data
Identify critical points in the manufacturing process and specify sampling procedures to be used at these points
Produce reports regarding nonconformance of products or processes, daily production quality, root cause analyses, or quality trends
Verify that raw materials, parts or components, in-process samples, and finished products meet established testing and inspection standards
Asserts influence across a variety of individuals throughout the plant in the performance of functional responsibilities
